Child Welfare & Safeguarding at Mungret Regional FC

At Mungret Regional FC, the safety, wellbeing, and positive development of every young player is at the heart of our club. We are fully committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment where children can enjoy football, learn new skills, and build confidence.

Our Child Welfare Policy follows the guidelines set out by the FAI, Sport Ireland, and national child protection legislation. All coaches, volunteers, and committee members working with children are required to:

-
Complete Garda Vetting
-
Undertake approved Child Safeguarding training
-
Adhere to the FAI Code of Ethics & Good Practice

We promote a culture of respect both on and off the pitch, ensuring that every child is treated fairly and supported in a positive manner. We encourage parents, guardians, and young players to raise any concerns without hesitation — all reports are handled sensitively and in confidence by our Club Child Welfare Officers.
Mungret Regional FC is dedicated to ensuring that football remains a safe, enjoyable, and enriching experience for all young people in our community.
